Terms of Service

Family Psychiatry & Therapy
Website: familypsychnj.com
Effective date: July 28, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of familypsychnj.com (the “Site”) and your communications with Family Psychiatry & Therapy (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site or contacting us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Informational use only; no medical advice

The Site provides general information about our practice and services. Content on the Site is for informational purposes only and is not medical advice. Using the Site or contacting us does not create a doctor-patient or therapist-patient relationship. That relationship begins only after intake and the start of care.

2. Not for emergencies

Do not use the Site, forms, text messaging, or email for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911. If you are in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline).

3. Appointment requests and communications

Submitting a form, calling, or texting us is a request to be contacted. It does not confirm or guarantee an appointment. Appointments are confirmed by our team directly.

4. SMS / text messaging terms

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, you agree to receive text messages (SMS/MMS) from Family Psychiatry & Therapy related to appointment scheduling, intake, and care coordination.

  • Consent: opting in is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving our services.
  • Message types: appointment, intake, scheduling, and other care-related messages.
  • Frequency: message frequency varies.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out: reply STOP to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or call 201-977-2889.
  • Privacy: mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
  • Not for emergencies: see Section 2. Text messages are not monitored around the clock and are not for urgent needs.

5. Intellectual property

The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, and images, are owned by or licensed to Family Psychiatry & Therapy and are protected by applicable law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute Site content without our written permission.

6. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for those websites or their content.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Family Psychiatry & Therapy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Family Psychiatry & Therapy from any claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
