Here’s how we help you.
Welcome! Let’s get started…
Your initial appointment primarily involves an information-gathering session with one of our psychiatry or therapy providers. They strive to learn as much about you and your history as possible. It enables us to evaluate your concerns and potentially determine an appropriate diagnosis. Since a diagnosis often helps guide treatment, it constitutes a critical part of the process.
Your story is exclusively yours and highly personal. However, despite what general perceptions might suggest, a person is not merely a diagnosis. We firmly believe this and do not view people who seek our help in such a manner. Instead, we regard each person as unique, experiencing pain, and needing assistance.
You are the sole narrator of your life story. As we meet for the first time, remember that you are the foremost expert in your life. We’re not here to judge. On the contrary, our primary role is to listen intently and become the world’s second-most knowledgeable person about you. So, during that first session, feel confident that we don’t know you as well as you know yourself.
We want you to freely share your story — what brings you to us today
Continuing Treatment Sessions
After your first appointment, your care provider will often arrive at a preliminary diagnosis for your concerns. Diagnoses are a guide, helping us develop a realistic treatment plan and determining whether medication or talk therapy is beneficial.
There may be instances when a definitive diagnosis is not reached in just one session. In such cases, your diagnosis may be updated or changed as we continue to learn more about you in subsequent sessions.
Should medication be necessary, we will discuss potential options, benefits, side effects, contraindications, and risks.
Your journey starts here, and we’ll be at your side every step of the way.
