The Feeling of Anxiety
During adolescence, a teenage will experience psychological and physical changes that may cause them to behave differently. However, it’s important to distinguish these changes from mental disorders.
A mood disorder results in extreme elevations or drops in a person’s mood. Common mood disorders a teenage may experience are bipolar disorder and depression.
Anxiety disorders are referred to as mental illnesses that cause a person to feel stress or frightened in certain situations. Phobias, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder can possibly affect adolescents.
An eating disorder can be classified as a psychological disorder that affects normal eating habits. The two most well-known disorders than can affect teenagers are bulimia and anorexia.
